This bolt is used to adjust the rear wheel alignment and suspension geometry.

The original bolts are often heavily corroded or seized after years of use, making proper adjustment of the rear axle geometry difficult or even impossible. In many cases, they need to be cut off and replaced before the wheel alignment can be carried out correctly.
